Cost of Discover Scuba Course



  • No equipment necessary – everything’s provided–except you supply the smiles

Private Discovers are available on your schedule. The cost for private is $20 per person.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in pool or pool-like conditions. During your adventure, you’ll master some basic concepts and scuba skills and might even head off to experience an open water adventure.

Medical Questions You Will Be Asked

You will be asked to answer the following questions on your past and present medical history with a YES or NO. If you are not sure, answer YES. If any of these items apply to you, we must request that you consult with a physician prior to participating in scuba diving. Below, you can download the PADI Medical Statement and Guidelines for Recreational Scuba Diver’s Physical Examination to take to a physician.

  1. Do you currently have an ear infection?
  2. Do you have a history of ear disease, hearing loss or problems with balance?
  3. Do you have a history of ear or sinus surgery?
  4. Are you currently suffering from a cold, congestion, sinusitis or bronchitis?
  5. Do you have a history of respiratory problems, severe attacks of hayfever or allergies, or lung disease?
  6. ave you had a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) or history of chest surgery?
  7. Do you have active asthma or history of emphysema or tuberculosis?
  8. Are you currently taking medication that carries a warning about any impairment of your physical or mental abilities?
  9. Do you have behavioral health, mental or psychological problems or a nervous system disorder?
  10. Are you or could you be pregnant?
  11. Do you have a history of colostomy?
  12. Do you have a history of heart disease or heart attack, heart surgery or blood vessel surgery?
  13. Do you have a history of high blood pressure, angina, or take medication to control blood pressure?
  14. Are you over 45 and have a family history of heart attack or stroke?
  15. Do you have a history of bleeding or other blood disorders?
  16. Do you have a history of diabetes?
  17. Do you have a history of seizures, blackouts or fainting, convulsions or epilepsy or take medications to prevent them?
  18. Do you have a history of back, arm or leg problems following an injury, fracture or surgery?
  19. Do you have a history of fear of closed or open spaces or panic attacks (claustrophobia or agoraphobia)?

What Do I Need to start?

  • Minimum age: 10 (parent or guardian must be present for anyone under 18 years old)
  • A completed and signed Discover Scuba Diving brochure

What Will I Do?

In the comfort of our heated pool, you will realize the wonderful experience of the underwater world. All you need to do is call us (326-DIVE) and reserve a place. After a brief introduction by our staff, you will view the “Discover Scuba” video then suit up for your pool training and underwater experience (Bring your swimsuit and towel, dressing rooms on premises). Find out for yourself how fun and easy Scuba diving actually is! There will never be a better time. When you participate in a Discover Scuba Diving program, you discover excitement and adventure – freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the “weightless” exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!

6:30PM -10:00PM

Course includes:

  • World’s most popular introduction to scuba diving
  • Available in a pool, ocean, almost anywhere there’s water
  • Discover Scuba Diving skills may be credited toward the PADI Open Water Diver certification
  • Average dive depth is 8 feet in our pool, 20 feet in the ocean.
  • Most Discover Scuba Diving experiences take just an
    hour or two

Medical Release

*Doctors release is only needed if you answered “YES” to any medical questions, for your safety answer all questions honestly, a “YES” doesn’t mean that you can’t SCUBA, you just need your doctor’s approval.
