Join The Dive Shop as we travel back in time to ancient Egypt. Our adventure starts as we depart from New York heading to the Land of the Pharaohs! On arrival at Cairo International, you will be met and assisted with visa formalities and escorted to your hotel.

During your 3 days in Cairo you will visit the Great Pyramids at the Giza Plateau, the Sphinx, the Step Pyramid of Zoser; the first pyramid ever built, the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities; including the Mummy Room and finally a stop at the El Khalili Bazaar.

Days 5-7: This morning a short flight will bring you to Aswan to board your Nile Cruise or you may select the optional pre cruise 3 hour Abu Simbel excursion to visit the Great Temples of RamsesII and his wife Nefertari. We will then travel to Aswan where we will embark on our Nile Cruise, stopping at such sites as Philae Temple, city of Kom Ombo, Temple of Edfu; temple of Horus the Sun God. Temple of Luxor, ending at one of the most impressive monuments of ancient art and architecture in the world the Karnak Temple.

Temple of Queen HatshepsutDay 8: Disembark the ship and cross the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings. Afterwards continue to Deir El Bahri to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, considered being one of the finest buildings in Egypt. This afternoon enjoy some time at your leisure exploring Luxor, shopping at the bazaar, visiting the Luxor museum or just relaxing.

Day 9: You then take a short fight to Sharm El Sheikh, the "Land of Turquoise". Sharm El Sheikh offers rich and elegant seaside resorts and is often called the "Egyptian Riviera" . Transfer to the harbor and board your Safari Boat the M/Y Snefro Crown.

Day 10-12: Dive at the most spectacular sites in all of the undersea, and the “masterpiece” of wall dives Ras Mohammed. It has been said that if there were just one dive place in the world to dive that would be Ras Mohammed.
SS ThistlegormImagine diving in a watery World War II museum to view a unique piece of military history and dive into the past. The SS Thistlegorm was sunk by German bomber planes in World War II. It rests at the bottom of the sea for over sixty years.
The historical wreck of the Dunraven, which sank in April 1876. The Dunraven is an old wooden wreck with plenty of room for passing through thousand of glassfish that live in the shade of the wreck.

Upon arrival at the port you will be transferred to Taba for the night.

Day 13: After breakfast you will take a fast ferry to Aqaba. You will have an opportunity to dive some of Jordan’s wonderful dive sites including the famous wall dive the Power Station. It is a spectacular wall dive, either to the North or South of the mooring. Sharks and other large pelagics are often spotted here.

Treasury of PetraDay 14: This morning you will have an opportunity for a final dive. Depart Aqaba for the magnificent city of Petra. Enjoy sometime at your leisure this afternoon.

Day 15: Your exploration of Petra begins early this morning. Climb atop your horse for a ride to the main entrance to the “lost city of Petra”. Much of Petra’s appeal comes from its spectacular setting deep inside a narrow desert gorge. Petra’s most famous monument is the Treasury (the final scene of Indian Jones and the Last Crusade was filmed here).

Day 16: This morning you will leave Petra for Amman. While driving, you will make some interesting stops. Visit the Crusader Fortress of Kerak, Mt. Nebo, believed to be the site where Moses was buried, see a breathtaking view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, Madaba, the “City of Mosaics”, church of St. George where you will see the magnificent sixth century Byzantine mosaic map consisting of two million colored pieces of stone depicting Jerusalem and other holy sites. Arrive in Amman for overnight.

Day 17: Today you will have an orientation tour of the city and then off to Street of ColumnsJerash. Here you will find remains from Neolithic times, as well as Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Omayyad and others.
To honor its guest, the city built a Triumphal Arch. Imagine yourself back in AD 129 as you take a walk down the “Street of Columns”. Return to Cairo.

Day 18: The day is at your leisure in Cairo. This evening enjoy a dinner and show.

Day 19: Your exploration of the Egypt and Jordan ends today as you transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
