The Dive Shop (TDS) Vocational Training Program

INTRODUCTION

This program is designed for you to enter into the entry level Open Water Scuba Diver Course and graduate as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Some courses have flexible starting dates and all are weekend schedules. Most academic portions of the classes are completed online (eLearning).

The Dive Shop offers the finest technology, best-practices curriculum, and equipment for student scuba training and is staffed with qualified, approved instructors. The Dive Shop (TDS) Vocational Training Program is under the auspices of The Dive Shop Tucson, a 5-Star Instructor Development Center authorized by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (referred to as PADI).

A Few Requirements

Prerequisites: Students must be 16 years old to enter the PADI Open Water Dive Course Program and be physically fit to dive as documented by a medical questionnaire and, if there are “yes” answers to any question, a physician’s review and approval.

THE DIVE SHOP IS A PADI FIVE STAR INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The PADI System of diver education is based on progressive training that introduces skills, safety-related information and local environmental knowledge to student divers in stages. PADI courses are student-centered and provide maximum practice and realistic application.
